About

I've spent fifteen-plus years building software, the last ten also leading engineering teams as a technical director. These days I work as a senior technical consultant at a health information technology association, focused on applying large language models and reinforcement learning to hospital information systems and clinical workflows.

I started in fintech, building trading systems. Then the startup years: e-commerce first, where I built the engineering team and the ERP and SKU systems behind the business; then a longer stretch in education technology, leading development of platforms for China's National Teacher Training Program, K-12 schools, and campus learning, and owning technology strategy as those businesses grew.

Throughout, the work has stayed constant: system architecture, full-stack development (Python and Java, mostly), building small teams that ship, and taking ambiguous problems from zero to production. I hold a master's in engineering management and a bachelor's in automation, both from Beijing Institute of Technology.

This site collects build notes from personal projects — done independently, on my own time, unrelated to my employer. Nothing here involves clinical data, proprietary code, or anything confidential.

The notes exist to keep the facts straight, clear my own thinking, and maybe save a stranger a detour — the internet has saved me plenty, so this is returning the favor.
